The best place for the Guide is the Glowing Mushroom Biome with the Truffle, as he loves the Guide.
On the PC, Console, Mobile, and tModLoader versions, considering there are no downsides to having the Guide unhappy, the player could simply put the Guide anywhere in the world without any consequences.
